The inn retains an intimate scale: individually designed rooms, fresh flowers from the grounds, and a restaurant that fuses European traditions with local flavors.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
Fearrington Village surrounds the estate with independent boutiques, a bookstore, and miles of shaded walking trails through Piedmont woodlands.
The rooms
Each room features English country florals, antique furnishings, fresh garden cuttings, and a crystal decanter of port left at turndown.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Striped lounge chairs and umbrella tables line the seasonal outdoor pool beneath a canopy of mature trees.
The spa
A Swedish-style farmhouse houses the spa, where bright treatment rooms host massages and facials using Elemis products.
At the table
The 1927 farmhouse restaurant serves seasonal Southern tasting menus, and Roost Beer Garden bakes wood-fired pizzas under the trees.
Winding redbrick pathways lead guests through "beautiful gardens" with native plants. Garnering a high score, accommodations are "the finest rooms anywhere," done in English country style.
How it began

Proprietors R.B. and Jenny Fitch built the inn on a two-century-old dairy farmstead to secure Relais & Châteaux membership in 1988.
