Anbôise's overhaul has brought ochre and dusky rose walls, four-poster beds, antique mahogany, copper cast-iron baths by glen-facing sash windows.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
The ancient Fortingall Yew stands in the churchyard next door, and Glen Lyon begins right at the doorstep.
The rooms
Bedrooms have dusky rose walls and antique timber. Selected rooms add freestanding copper tubs by the sash windows.
The Restaurant at The Fortingall
White tablecloths and ladderback chairs sit around the open hearth, where dinners draw on seasonal Scottish produce.
At the table
The Ewe serves pints by an arched stone fireplace, and Charlie's Bar pours single malts beneath Bonnie Prince Charlie's portrait.
How it began

Facing conversion into private flats, the property was bought in 2022 by local landowners to keep the inn open.
