Michelin Selected
Michelin
This place, designed by Kerry Hill, the architect responsible for so many of Asia’s best high-end hotels, verges on the monumental.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
On a granite peninsula below Phoenix Hill, with private grounds facing the Yellow Sea.
The rooms
Suites look directly across the Yellow Sea, and standalone Sea Villas add fifty-foot pools beside the shore.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The granite infinity pool extends toward the sea, framed by carved stone ram sculptures and pine trees.
The spa
Soak slowly.
Treatment suites look out to sea with open fire basins, offering massages that use long-push strokes and aromatic oils.
The onsen
Japanese-engineered mineral pools sit along the granite shoreline, naturally heated with sodium- and magnesium-rich waters.
L Bar
Outdoor armchairs line the open terrace beside the water, and evening brings live music to the stone lounge.
At the table
A freestanding glass pavilion serves formal tea over the sea, alongside cooking stations preparing fresh sashimi and Taiwanese classics.
How it began

Taiwan's Lalu brand chose this coastal headland for its mainland debut, bringing in antique bronze chimes and stone lions from Qufu.
