What they say
Also in Michelin and Wallpaper*.
Bold colors and graphic elements liven the stately old house, and there’s a light, whimsical edge to the furnishings...
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
Tucked into the Tivoli hillside above the River Lee, the estate balances quiet woodland seclusion with easy access to central Cork.
The rooms
American oak joinery and bronze mirrored accents frame the suites, complete with private terraces and view-facing stone soaking tubs.
The indoor pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The indoor heated pool sits beneath tall windows, bordered by a sunlit deck and potted greenery.
The hot tub and thermal suite
A circular hot tub overlooks the pool deck, joined by a sauna, steam room, and halotherapy salt room.
Dogs stay too.
Bar
The Clubhouse
The lounge pours evening cocktails around a curved terracotta bar and serves morning breakfast spreads for suite guests.
The structures themselves – the work of local architectural firm, Henry J Lyons – slot seamlessly into its surroundings with a low-impact minimal design made from charred larch wood.
At the table
The Glasshouse pours botanical cocktails on the rooftop terrace, and Panorama Restaurant serves seasonal Irish dishes above the river.
How it began

Hoteliers Frankie and Jo Whelehan expanded their historic estate in 2024, adding nine low-impact lodges nestled into the wooded hillside.
