This restored manor estate on the island of Mazzorbo… cultivates a supremely private atmosphere — the better to savor their vintages.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
Sleepy Mazzorbo has an unhurried, rural rhythm. A wooden footbridge leads straight across to the painted canal houses of Burano.

The rooms
The five bedrooms keep their weathered timber beams, with windows looking straight out over the vines or the quiet canal.
Yoga in the vineyard
Instructors from local studio Spazio Levante lead yoga sessions outdoors among the estate's rows of Dorona vines.
At the table
Michelin-starred Ristorante Venissa cooks with wild lagoon seafood and estate herbs. Beside the vineyard, the osteria serves Venetian cicchetti.
How it began

The 1966 lagoon flood nearly wiped out Venice's indigenous Dorona grape, until eighty-eight surviving vines were discovered and replanted here.
