“It’s unabashedly old-world in the best way, with royal gardens, museum-worthy art pieces, “six-star” service, and an iconic floating pool”
— Condé Nast Traveler

Rooms

Rooms span the sixteenth-century Cardinal's Building and Queen's Pavilion, with standalone historic villas tucked into the surrounding Renaissance gardens.

Wellness

A heated pool floats directly on Lake Como, complemented by eight clay tennis courts, a sauna, and an indoor swimming pavilion.

Backstory

Originally built in 1568 for Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, the Renaissance estate later belonged to Caroline of Brunswick before opening as a hotel in 1873.

Eat & drink

Formal jacket-and-tie dinners at La Veranda pair with lakeside cocktails beneath the chestnut trees on Bar Canova's terrace.

The neighborhood

Set just outside Cernobbio, the estate commands twenty-five private lakeside acres with its own marina for cruising across Lake Como.
