Bedstee alcoves and deep window perches define the bedrooms, while nine custom artist suites introduce themes from cinema boudoir to salvaged street finds.

Open-air wooden hot tubs and a barrel sauna sit on the eighth-floor deck overlooking the city skyline.

The seventh-floor restaurant occupies the former staff canteen, with outdoor picnic tables and expansive views over Amsterdam.
a "24-hour micro society" that, aside from the workspaces, houses the Werkplaats café, the underground Doka cocktail bar, the Canvas restaurant and club, 172 hotel rooms and a rooftop hot tub and sauna.

Werkplaats serves coffee and light bites along street-facing windows, with communal worktables and Thursday jazz sets.
How it began
Built in the 1960s as headquarters for newspaper De Volkskrant, the concrete block served as a creative incubator before its conversion.
