The resort runs like a sunlit Mediterranean village inside a granite canyon, centered on marina life and upbeat poolside afternoons.
“The aesthetic is high-end from the moment you walk into the spacious, quirky, and colorful lobby festooned with local art.”
What it’s good at
Notable
Whitewashed bull's-eye arches open onto interiors filled with handcrafted Sardinian ceramics.

Tucked into the village of Poltu Quatu, whose name means ‘hidden port,’ W Sardinia sits beside a lively marina and minutes from beaches where turquoise waters meet sculpted cliffs.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Marina dell'Orso sits right outside with moored yachts and seafood restaurants, and Porto Cervo is a short drive away.

The rooms
Rooms keep their whitewashed walls and cedar joinery, and stepped corridors wind between them across the hillside.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Submerged daybeds line the swimming pool beside thatched cabana lounges, framed by natural granite rock terraces.
Gym and yoga studio
Technogym cardio machines fill the fitness room, and the wood-floored yoga studio looks onto courtyard greenery.
At the table
Terrace tables look out over moored yachts, and the Dolce Room serves pastries and traditional Sardinian seadas.
From the minute you enter the building, the architecture strikes you as unique... the lobby feels compressed and cosy, before entering the ‘Wet Deck’ which opens up as if stumbling upon a secret lagoon.
How it began
Design studio Meyer Davis modeled the cave-like lounges on the Janas, mythical fairy spirits who protect Sardinian fishermen.

The city grew up with it. Same rituals, same regulars, same bar.

A world of its own. Something to do from breakfast to nightcap.
The scene

Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Central
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.

Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
