What it’s good at
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
The rooms are a perfectly measured blend of luxury-hotel swank and tropical canopy-bed fantasy, while the villas add private outdoor hot tubs and direct beach access.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Lifou's southern coast wraps around the property, with calm white beaches and native forest an hour from Ouanaham Airport.
The rooms
Beachfront Villas open directly onto the sand with private outdoor Jacuzzis. Forest bungalows sit on stilts among the canopy.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
A curved infinity pool looks out across the bay, ringed by white loungers and conical thatched pavilions.
At the table
Ömöm serves French and Melanesian dishes beneath a Tamanu tree, and Sewen grills seafood on a lagoon islet.
How it began
Local studio Atelier 13 designed the timber pavilions after traditional Kanak structures, working in partnership with the customary Lössi authorities.
