The rooms
Blend Rooms occupy the old volcanic cellars. Out in the orchard, glass-walled villas look straight into the lemon trees.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The outdoor swimming pool stretches along timber decking beside the historic manor, encircled by orange and lemon trees.
The baths
The cellar hydrotherapy pool is built from dark Etna lava stone, set beside a hammam and sauna.
The spa
A glass-walled timber sauna looks out into the grove, and treatment rooms use volcanic stones with Mediterranean botanicals.
Restaurant
Ristorante Zash
Chef Giuseppe Raciti serves Michelin-starred Sicilian tasting menus inside the historic palmento, beneath antique timber beams and stone vaults.
The main house is a peach, peeling vestige of Sicily, with a cool subterranean spa, a restaurant with impressive vaulted ceilings, and, above it, bright rooms.
At the table
Guests gather on the pool terrace for aperitifs and Etna wines around candles and an open firepit.
How it began

The Maugeri family bought the noble summer residence in the 1930s, later replanting the vineyards with citrus groves.
“Guestrooms are evenly spread across three buildings – emphasising the hotel’s overarching mood of intimacy – and are characterised by cool, modern interiors.”
