Seventeenth-century wine cellars carved into the cliffs form eighteen whitewashed suites, where days drift between private terraces and caldera views.
“Canaves Ena reimagines a long-time favorite hotel, which originally opened in 1985 in the family owners’ 17th-century wine caves.”

What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Also in Condé Nast Traveler and AFAR.
The recently renovated hotel has four levels built into the volcanic cliffs, with traditional Cycladic architecture and minimalist interiors that don't distract from dazzling views over the caldera.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Oia's marble-paved walkway begins right outside, winding past whitewashed alleys toward the sunset viewpoint at the clifftop castle.
The rooms
Curving cave walls enclose cool marble and pale wood. In the River Pool Suite, water flows through rock arches onto the terrace.
The infinity pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Submerged loungers line the cliff-edge infinity pool, looking straight across the caldera to the Aegean Sea.
Adami Restaurant
The open-air terrace serves seasonal Cycladic taverna dishes at candlelit tables facing evening sunsets over the caldera.
Its 18 ultra-chic cave rooms are now all Santorinian marble and woods, glassy infinity pools and bubbling jacuzzis, with blistering Cycladic stucco walls set against flashes of pink bougainvillaea.
At the table
The swim-up bar serves cocktails and Greek wines directly to submerged bar stools beside a volcanic stone wall.
How it began

Yiannis and Anna Chaidemenos cleared out their family's seventeenth-century wine caves in 1985, founding the collection with this single hotel.
