Ladin culinary lodge
The Wieser family shapes the lodge around South Tyrolean gastronomy, pairing mountain days with dedicated cellars for cheese, chocolate, and wine.
“The family-owned hotel Ciasa Salares offers beautiful chalet-style rooms in the foothills of the Fane National Park.”
What it’s good at
Remarkable
Generations of Wieser family hospitality rooted in Ladin culture and Alto Adige wines.
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Also in Condé Nast Traveler and AFAR.
The rooms are essentially theatres for the astonishing view, as they should be, orienting themselves in terms of comfort and design to ensure maximum appreciation.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
Meadows surround the hamlet of Armentarola. A ski lift a hundred metres away links directly into the Sellaronda circuit.

The rooms
Bedrooms are lined in raw pine and larch, with windows that look straight out toward the Conturines peaks.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The heated indoor pool looks through floor-to-ceiling glass toward the surrounding pines and mountain slopes.
Sauna and hot tub
A wood-slatted Finnish sauna looks onto the wellness deck, and a steaming hot tub faces snowy alpine peaks.
The spa and gym
White loungers rest beneath metallic wall sculptures in the spa lounge, and the fitness room is lined in pine.
At the table
A refrigerated room holds dozens of alpine cheeses, and tables at Cocun sit among floor-to-ceiling wine racks.
During après, a raucous dance party takes place on Ciasa Salares’s wraparound deck, and after, visitors can soothe sore muscles in the spa’s steam rooms, saunas, or hot tubs.
How it began

Ciasa means home in Ladin. Salares recalls the ancient salt vats once left in the valley for grazing livestock.
