Red Sea Global HospitalitySculpted granite sanctum
Lantern-lit pathways weave through ancient granite canyons, leading to mountain suspension bridges and secluded stargazing decks high above the wadi floor.
“rooms are carved directly into the rock face, a concept similar to the cave suites of Cappadocia in Türkiye.”

Tucked into the craggy cliffs of the Hijaz mountains, Desert Rock isn’t just close to nature, it is carved into it.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Hidden in a secluded Hejaz mountain valley twenty minutes from the airport, the surrounding wadi offers volcanic canyon trails and sweeping dunes.
The rooms
Cave suites carved into the mountain and cantilevered villas feature floor-to-ceiling glass opening to private plunge pools overlooking the desert valley.
Spa, pool and gym
Bring a swimsuit.
A cliffside infinity pool wraps around a sunken fire-pit lounge, and outdoor stone pavilions host singing-bowl therapies.
The hammam and baths
Heated green marble slabs anchor the private hammam, and an indoor hydrotherapy pool looks straight onto natural rock.
At the table
Nyra serves wood-fired dishes across volcanic rock floors, and Mica pours alcohol-free cocktails over a carved limestone bar.
Desert Rock Resort rises — just barely — from one of Saudi Arabia’s most extraordinary settings, neatly concealed among the otherworldly Hejaz Mountains…
How it began

Oppenheim Architecture sculpted the resort directly into the rock face, using stone excavated on site to build structural walls and pathways.
“Desert Rock nestles in a five-million-year-old granite valley, where 54 villas and ten suites merge almost imperceptibly with their surroundings.”
