“the luxury resort is instantly recognizable for its mirrored stainless-steel villas — sculptural ellipsoids that appear to hover between sea and sky...”

What they say
Two Michelin Keys
Michelin
Also in Forbes Travel Guide and AFAR.
On a private Red Sea island, Shebara’s mirrored orbs shimmer above the waterline: part architectural spectacle, part low-impact design.
Tucked away
A place apart: the property is the destination.
Set in the secluded Al Wajh Lagoon, the island is surrounded by untouched coral reefs, seagrass meadows, and resident eagle rays.
The rooms
Overwater pods feature curvilinear bed frames, automated hydraulic bars lined in red leather, and private infinity plunge pools above the reef.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
Submerged circular loungers sit inside the main infinity pool, looking straight out across the calm lagoon.
The spa
Five treatment suites open onto private terraces, and therapies include signature green caviar hammam rituals.
The gym and vitality pool
A sculpted vitality pool features hydrotherapy cascade steps, set beside a curved gym facing the water.
At the table
Five restaurants serve Mediterranean seafood and Nikkei ceviche. Open-air lounges pour botanical zero-proof cocktails by the water.
Thirty-eight mirrored orbs, akin to miniature versions of ‘The Bean’ in Chicago, appear to have landed and been repurposed as overwater villas, reflecting the sky and sea.
How it began

Architect Shaun Killa shaped the off-grid resort, which opened in 2024 powered entirely by a dedicated eleven-thousand-panel solar farm.
