This is a coastal wellness institution, pairing extensive seawater therapies with private beach loungers on the Athenian Riviera.
What it’s good at
Remarkable
A 3,500-square-meter spa centered on Greece's largest heated seawater thalassotherapy pool.
Somewhere quiet
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
Pine trees and sandy coves line the Kavouri coastline, with Vouliagmeni's waterfront tavernas just down the shore.

The rooms
Most rooms open onto balconies facing the Saronic Gulf, with bathrooms finished in polished marble.
The spa and pools
Bring a swimsuit.
Two outdoor pools sit beside the shore, one filled with seawater and the other freshwater. Open-air massage tables overlook the waves.
The thalassotherapy pool
The 270-square-meter indoor seawater pool is heated to 32 degrees and fitted with 16 therapeutic water jets.
Gym and yoga deck
Technogym Artis machines fill the skylit fitness atrium, and yoga sessions take place on the seaside wooden deck.
At the table
Papaioannou serves wild catch at linen-set tables beside the sea, and Atlantis Lounge hosts live music each summer evening.
How it began

Architect Nicos Valsamakis designed the original 1970s resort, which later served as a lodging club for the US Air Force.
