The open-air rooftop looks out across Bebelplatz toward Berlin Cathedral and the TV Tower, lined with potted olive trees.
Many of the building’s original details—graceful marble columns, skylights, an intricate iron staircase—have been retained, most notably down below in the pool area, formerly the bank’s jewel vault.

CHIARO serves Italian dishes with Japanese accents, extending into a leafy courtyard garden beside the cocktail bar.
How it began
Built in 1889 as the Dresdner Bank headquarters, the building later served as the central bank of East Germany.
