Curving crimson townhouse
The property reimagines the townhouse as a fluid landscape, where crimson floors curve seamlessly into walls and built-in furniture.
What it’s good at
Notable
Continuous red linoleum surfaces fold directly into walls and integrated bedside bathtubs.
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
The public spaces are, if anything, even more daring, with organically curving surfaces covered in red linoleum and soft, theatrical lighting.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Savignyplatz and its sidewalk cafes sit a short stroll north. The flagship shops along Kurfürstendamm run just around the corner.
The rooms
Beds rise out of sloping white walls, and twelve rooms place sunken bathtubs directly beside the mattress.
The spa
Red loungers rest on warm white sand in the relaxation room, and metal basins line a Japanese washing area.
The Fox Bar
Low black sofas face an illuminated crimson counter, where evening cocktails accompany occasional DJ sets.
At the table
The dining room serves morning breakfast and Thai dinners, opening onto an inner courtyard shaded by Japanese maples.
How it began

Hoteliers Wolfgang Loock and Eva-Miriam Gerstner enlisted architecture firm Graft in 2004, inspired by the studio's work in Los Angeles.
