What they say
One Michelin Key
Michelin
Also in Condé Nast Traveler.
Leeu House makes casual elegance feel like the easiest, most natural thing in the world.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Set right on Franschhoek's historic Huguenot Street, you are steps from independent boutiques, acclaimed tasting rooms, and the hop-on Wine Tram.
The rooms
Sisal carpets, neutral linens, and heated marble floors define the twelve rooms, with selected categories opening onto private courtyards or terraces.
The pool
Bring a swimsuit.
The 15-meter outdoor pool sits among manicured lawns and palm trees, looking out toward the Franschhoek mountains.
At the table
The Conservatory serves seasonal dishes beneath a glass skylight, opening through French doors onto the shaded garden terrace.
Interiors balance out this old-world vibe, pulling from contemporary South African design: latticed partitions fashioned from tea-dyed kudu leather; splashy canvases by renowned artist Lionel Smit.
How it began

Industrialist Analjit Singh combined three adjacent properties along Huguenot Street to create the Leeu Collection's inaugural boutique retreat in 2015.
