Bokan, the new sky-level restaurant and bar at the Canary Wharf Novotel, is a sharp lesson in not paying heed to first impressions.

The open-air rooftop bar serves specialist gins from the thirty-ninth floor, with daybeds looking out across the Thames.

How it began
Designed by Koncept Interior Design, the 127-metre skyscraper opened in 2017 as an industrial-leaning flagship for the brand.
