What they say
Also in Wallpaper*.
The playful interiors, designed by Armin Fischer of Dreimeta, cleverly blend the outlandish with the contemporary: walls are covered in newspaper and Konstantin Gricic’s ‘Mayday’ lamps hang from goal-netting headboards.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Hammerbrook sits right outside, putting Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and the shops of the city center within a short walk.
The rooms
Modular wooden daybeds unstack to sleep up to four guests. Every room includes its own en-suite bathroom.
At the table
The front desk doubles as a bar, where staff mix cocktails beneath a chalkboard drink menu.
How it began
Hotelier Kai Hollmann handed a former printing plant to a team of eight friends, who opened the space in 2008.
