The house
HiltonHavana-inspired desert resort
The resort reimagines mid-century Havana in the Sonoran desert, centering daily life on open-air patios and two pools.
What it’s good at
Notable
AvroKO interiors blend mid-century walnut furniture with woven raffia light fixtures.
What they say
Michelin Selected
Michelin
Inspired by Havana as experienced by Ernest Hemingway, the hotel puts a retro spin on all things Cuban.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Scottsdale Fashion Square is a short walk away, and the art galleries of Old Town sit just down the road.
The rooms
Walnut furniture and brass fixtures fill the rooms, and each opens onto a private balcony or patio.
The pools
Bring a swimsuit.
Palm trees surround the lagoon pool and circular hot tub, and private timber cabanas line the water.
The spa and gym
La Vidorra Spa has six treatment rooms for mineral baths and salt stone massages, and the gym holds morning yoga.
Dogs stay too.
Restaurant
The Canal Club
Woven cane chairs and botanical wallpaper fill the dining room. The kitchen serves Cuban-style ceviche and pollo al horno.
At the table
Mid-century sofas flank the tall glass-and-brass lounge bar, and a bamboo counter serves drinks right beside the pool.
How it began

The property opened in 1961 as the Executive House Arizonian, eventually taking its name from city founder Winfield Scott.
