Backstory

Architect Todd Schliemann raised the building on massive concrete stilts in 2009, intentionally straddling the newly converted elevated rail park.

Eat & drink

The Standard Grill lays down penny-tiled floors and steakhouse banquettes, while Le Bain pairs an indoor plunge pool with rooftop drinks.

The neighborhood

Cobblestone streets run past contemporary art galleries, Meatpacking fashion boutiques, and the elevated promenade entering right below the lobby.
