The youth-oriented, high-design, hyper-social boutique hotel certainly didn’t originate in Japan, but again, it just might be in Tokyo that it finds its most perfect expression.
In a lively part of town
Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Tucked along pedestrianized Cat Street, the hotel sits right between quiet Jingumae fashion boutiques and the energetic lanes of Shibuya.
The rooms
Interiors feature reclaimed timber furniture, indigo patchwork art, and monochrome tiled baths, while select multi-level suites add private outdoor dipping pools.
Restaurant
TRUNK(KUSHI)
Under glowing paper lanterns and noren curtains, this street-front stand serves grilled kushiyaki skewers across low wooden tables.
Inside, a subdued vibe takes over common areas—all of which feel like a lounge, equally suited for a MacBook, a latte, or a cocktail.
At the table
Counter seats face the open kitchen indoors, and dining tables sit outside on the timber deck beneath leafy greenery.
How it began

Opened in 2017 beside historic Onden Shrine, the two-building complex was conceived around sustainable socializing, utilizing salvaged local timber and recycled materials.
