Wymara Resort Turks & Caicos
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands
Grace Bay West
Vibe
Submerged island cabanas dot a 7,000-square-foot mosaic pool, opening onto four hundred feet of powdery white sand on Grace Bay.
“Minimalist beachfront quarters”
Dedicated villa hosts, poolside attendants serving fruit skewers, evening turndown treats, and custom Kohler rain showers.
Crisp monochrome suites with ceiling-filling tubs, floor-to-ceiling ocean glass, and submerged mosaic pool cabanas.
Four hundred feet of Grace Bay frontage, complimentary Hobie Cats, paddleboards, and floating pool islands.
On the quieter western curve of Grace Bay Beach, fronting four hundred feet of sand.
“the combination of unspoiled natural beauty and the clean-lined contemporary-luxe Wymara is a powerful one indeed.”
Rooms
All-white interiors feature floor-to-ceiling ocean glass, dark wood accents, and freestanding tubs filled by spigots mounted in the ceiling.
“Along the hotel's open-air walkways are wooden trellises adorned with bright bursts of bougainvillea, a welcome juxtaposition against the whitewashed walls.”
Wellness
The spa features private outdoor shower gardens, contrast therapy with Finnish saunas and cold plunges, and morning yoga beside the ocean.
“The hotel is smaller and more sophisticated than the noisy all-inclusives further down the beach with a focus on fine dining and chic interior design.”
Backstory
Owner Bruce Maclaren joined the unfinished build during a Caribbean sabbatical in 2008, later reimagining the resort under its own identity.
“Wymara Resort Turks & Caicos (formerly the Gansevoort) aims to be as much a scene as it is a hotel.”
Eat & drink
Pink Bar pours chilled rosé directly on the sand, while Indigo serves sustainably sourced Caribbean seafood across an open-air terrace.
The neighborhood
Situated on the quieter western curve of Grace Bay Beach, the property sits moments from vibrant coral reefs and uncrowded sand.
The app
This is one hotel. The app has every one we rate, in your pocket, for the whole trip.
Our shorthand
What makes a hotel special, how well they pull it off, and what it feels like outside the door.
How well they pull it off
Extremely rare. Sets the global standard.
Brilliant execution. And we’re picky.
They did this well. You’ll notice.
A defining trait. Makes the hotel what it is.
The eight vibes
Architecture and interiors lead. There’s a creative vision at work.
The guest is conspicuously well cared for. Requests met before they’re made.
Rooted in place. Local character runs through the whole stay.
Energy and scene. Where the city goes out, whether or not it’s sleeping here.
A building with history. The story of the place is part of the stay.
Built around feeling better. Rest, sweat, soak, spa.
A hotel the city grew up with. Same rituals, same regulars.
A world of its own. No reason to leave the property.
Scene — what’s outside the door
Where things happen: restaurants, shops, people.
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Away from the crowds. Getting around takes intention.
A place apart: the property is the destination.
