Our shorthand ↗
The Loutrel, vibe
“This 50-room luxury boutique hotel is a new build, but one that does justice to the historical architecture that surrounds it; the interiors, too, are a mix of throwback elegance and 21st-century boutique-hotel style,”
— Michelin

Rooms

Crisp rooms feature custom botanical accents, walk-in showers with marble fish-scale tile, and complimentary minibars stocked with local snacks.

“A mature ficus towers over the cocktail bar, Calamondin orange topiaries flank the lobby, delicate cherry blossom branches spike the floral arrangements…”
— Condé Nast Traveler

Backstory

The property draws inspiration from 20th-century landscape architect Loutrel Briggs, who shaped roughly a hundred private gardens across Charleston.

“The 50-room Loutrel is inspired by Charleston’s public and private gardens. Rooms are modern and elegant…”
— AFAR
