The look, as in all the Hoxton hotels, is eclectic and a bit rough-edged, with industrial patina and late-modernist retro colliding in inspiring ways.
Right in the middle
Well-located: walkable to some things, a short ride to more.
Set on High Holborn two minutes from the tube, the location puts Covent Garden, Bloomsbury squares, and the British Museum within easy walking distance.
The rooms
Parquet floors and bespoke Dickens-themed wallpaper frame compact bedrooms equipped with handmade mattresses, rainfall showers, and vintage-style radios.

Fluted banquettes and back-bar wine displays line the bistro, where seasonal British plates accompany European bottles.
The hotelier makes up for that in the common spaces with an American-style grill, rotisserie-chicken shop, coffee house and nail bar, all managed by the Soho House Group.

The ground-floor counter pours Cornish-roasted coffee by morning, and the communal pantry spaces host private dinners and evening drinks.
How it began
Before its hospitality conversion, the Grade II-listed building operated as George Kent's knife-sharpener factory and later a mid-century telephone exchange.
